Informing the Mental Health strategy for England
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is developing a new, cross-government Mental Health Strategy for England, with the aim of shifting the mental health system away from a reactive, crisis-led model and toward earlier intervention, prevention, and cross-departmental support.
To help develop this strategy, the government has launched a call for evidence and is asking stakeholders, professionals, and the public to submit their insights before 10 July.
Blueprint for a digitally-enabled anxiety and/or depression CAMHS pathway
The Health Innovation Network South London has concluded its Children and Young People’s Digital Mental Health Technologies Project and produced a blueprint for a digitally-enabled anxiety and/or depression Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) pathway.
This co-designed pathway blueprint brings together insights from stakeholder focus groups, an in-person workshop and pathway specific co-design groups and includes a stage-by-stage approach on where and how digital tools may be used to enhance care and support children, practical recommendations to support implementation and a self-assessment tool to support services in reviewing current digital provision.

New White Paper from techUK published
techUK's Social Care Working Group has published a new white paper, Why digital adult social care transformation is central to the future of the NHS - launched at techUK's first CareTech conference.
It argues that the NHS 10-Year Plan's three shifts, hospital to community, analogue to digital, and sickness to prevention, all depend on what happens in the homes and neighbourhoods where adult social care already operates at scale. The main message will resonate with the innovation community: the technologies are largely already proven and deployed, from interoperable records and digital telecare to predictive monitoring and AI-enabled decision support, and the task now is scaling adoption through shared standards, joined-up commissioning and proportionate assurance.
Illustrated with case studies from across the sector, the paper also sets out the principles that industry is willing to commit to in order to drive this change.
Request for information - children's digital health services
To inform any potential formal procurement, NHS England is conducting a market information-gathering exercise, and has published a preliminary market engagement notice outlining the background and proposed criteria for procurement of multi-disciplinary teams within the Children’s Digital Health Services team.
The wider vision, according to NHS England, is to eventually develop a suite of digital and data services to support preventative health and care services for children.
